Job Description

Scope of Work

  • Collaborative with Category team - Lead - Participate and contribute towards the development of the commercial objectives of the product range, Range offering to Client In BKK
  • To work with the Client to understand and develop products and vendors for exporting
  • Take and proposal an improvement process for the Current existing vendor to meet BKK demand
  • To Conduct a bidding process and coordinate with the Categories team to ensure meeting client quality standards and enhance profit from combined bulk booking orders from Thai Lan and VN
  • Liaise with the vendor, 3 parties testing, QA in factory audit, and develop Vendor as Client -BKK standards requirement
  • Collaboration with category Team Manage all activities   to Meet Company client timeline and requirement
  • Possess a wide range network of good suppliers and factories in Vietnam
  • Process cost breakdown and analysis to bring out the purchasing & selling price.
  • Proficiency in VN customs & practice related to import/export and Certificate of Origin.
  • Build SOP to reduce risks & loss. Deep dive into technical docs. / Protocols to develop new products & new suppliers.
  • Familiar with sourcing for several famous retailing brands and exporting customs to US and Europe markets, Aisa Country
  • Proficient in OEM & ODM procurement. Using the variant method to find suppliers effectively.
  • Handle crisis cases properly with strong communication skills and to be the solution provider to the manager
  • Ensure factories are capable of producing brand merchandise that meets the Company's requirement and are socially compliant.

  • Set up and implement procedures to ensure the smooth flow of the supply chain: Negotiate contract terms & delivery. for exporting
  • Liaisese and Follow up with Third parties in Manage booking & shipping documents, ocean freight & local charge, confirm B/L;. Supervise Customs clearance of the Export process.
  • Responsible for day-to-day managing supplier and client relationships and communication flow during order processing (including early warning in case of delays or other problems)
  • Liaising with Financial Dept, to collect due payment from customers and pay to the vendor.
  • Working closely with the BKK for smooth communication and category expansion plans
  • Evaluate vendor performance and solve problems that could negatively impact order fulfillment or shipment of goods
  • Handle crisis cases properly with strong communication skills and to be the solution provider to the manager.
  • Bring out HS code for material import from China to meet Vietnam custom rule, and manage all important documents related.
  • Design an appropriate plan for material/cargo flow to meet production & shipping plans.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the highest working performance.
  • Keep tracking and understanding market technique trends via visiting trade fairs, and factory trips that impact sourcing requirements..
  • Proceed applying the document to obtain a Certificate of Origin (C/O) for designated shipments.

Develop Execute and sourcing strategies for local and exporting Thai Lan products

  • Manage the whole exporting process by working with the client in Range Strategy – Range Matrix -Offering and follow orders with the vendor / Third parties’ customers with an alignment timeline for exporting process
  • Builup Sourcing Strategies and alignment with the Category Manager  for vendor build-up

Strategic Vendor development -Buil up strategic Vendor systems

  • Searching and building a system of domestic and overseas suppliers to plan an abundant, diverse, high-quality, and low-cost source of goods as Range master
  •  Planning and developing vendors that are suitable to the company's requirements and business goals
  • Factory evaluation, product material analysis, and quotation comparison to make a decision to choose the right supplier for the company's requirements.
  • Lead and support the Sourcing team in negotiating the terms of the Sale  Contract with the Supplier on a quarterly/annual basis in order to bring maximum benefits to the company.
  • Lead -Support sourcing Team  Sourcing Team to Negotiating price, Term of contract, and Review  Contract after finally selecting the vendor
  • Lead -Support the Sourcing team in complaining or requesting compensation from the Supplier if there are errors compared to the terms of the contract to avoid losses and risks for the company.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and solve problems that could negatively impact order fulfillment or shipment of goods

Improvement Products and Vendor SLA

  • Work with Mer -Sale, and Products Development  team  to Analysis data of Products Financial performance ( Sale -Stock -GMROI ) -Customer feedback ( Quality )-An action plan for further improvement on products or new development plan in line with the development process
  • Work with the Sourcing team Propose Suppliers on improving, and replacing materials for products, new prices, etc. to re-develop old products with new looks to meet customer needs.
  • Propose product improvement to Merchandiser -Products Development and confirm product changes to Supplier to implement change in production.
  • Proposal in the Appendix to the Sale  Contract on this change after the negotiation is completed

Job Requirement

Education: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business with working experience in  fine arts with a concentration in furniture design or an assigned category

Seniority: Minimum 5 Years experience in merchandising and category management in retail business and/or related fields.

Attitude: Rigorous, honest, good team-work spirit.

Languages: Fluent in both writing and speaking English

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and experience of Incoterm 2020
